for everyone
I'm almost home! This was the 2nd longest trip I've ever taken. It has been a GRREAT trip full of learning, doing, connecting and reconnecting.

Since there's so much to blog about, and my mind can't crunch everything down to a "bloggable level." I'll summarize this trip in the most impersonal way I can.

Away for 92 days

    Visited 9 cities

Slept 37 nights on beds, 49 nights on sofas, and 5 nights on sofa beds (which are a category on their own because of their unique discomfort)

Drove over 2000 miles, for an estimated 50 hours in the car

Rented 4 cars, borrowed 3 cars

Took 11 plane rides and 4 bus rides

Now that I look at it this way, it doesn't seem that long anymore. I mean, it sure felt longer than it looks. I guess numbers have a way of doing that, cutting through feelings and bringing us back to reality. So the most significant numbers to me right now are:

5 days
2 plane rides
5711 miles
to go

P.S. My friend, Mel Chan, is looking for 2 more flatmates for an inexpensive place at the Ortigas area. Click here to see the details.

That is one looong trip, Joe. Different things come to mind: weariness, waiting, people, resting, learning, new relationships, old relationships, expanded horizon...Wow!

nice.. i think the line "..cutting through feelings and bringing us back to reality" is especially brilliant.. ;)

(neks, i used the word "brilliant".. hmm.. that doesn't happen often. haha.)

honga 'no.. when we blog, we subconsciously tone it down for the general read.. hmm.. (again something i noticed only now. haha.)

reall? gawsh. i've never tried, but i think i'm soon gonna experience it.. urgh.. (and i thought i could repeat the mantra "it's all in my mind" and get away with the discomfort. haha.)

You changed King Lucero and Abby Asistio's number in my phone... And well... another mishap!! (King had to call me last night and tell about the 10 messages I sent him.... and say, he's not Abby Asistio!!!)
