for everyone
These Texans are amazing! The first thing they invited me to was skeet shooting at a range. You shoot these small round clay things called clay pigeons. They're named that because they're meant to fly in the same way as birds.

I had some great companions. There was Jimmy - a small group leader from Trinity Dallas Church, Pastor Eric Soon - runner, executive pastor, shooter, and the best food connoisseur in Dallas, Stephen Keilers - my host, who has a plan to come to Manila and study missions one day, and his dad, Gerald - the 6'7" giant who served in Vietnam, whose big size is matched by a big heart.

It was fun, except for the recoil of the gun! It kicked like crazy!!! Imagine someone kicking you in the shoulder repeatedly. I was bruised for a few days afterwards. But it was so worth it! I hit around 60% of my 50 shots, pretty good for a first time!

The song is Brad Paisley's I'm Still a Guy. It's my new favorite country song. (Meaning, it's the only one I listen to. Hahaha) Listen to the whole thing. The ending is my favorite part.

Driving there: It was packed!

Pastor Eric, Stephen's dad (Gerald?), Jimmy, and Stephen

Stephen (pointing) was my host and a champion skeet shooter

Gerald starts off...

His arms are as wide around as my thighs

Jimmy loading

The control box thing

The perspective is higher... Guess who took this

My turn!

Look down the barrel...

Aim...

Follow it...

It's like getting kicked in the shoulder 50 times!

Pastor Eric kept score

Sometimes they turn it over to make it harder to see
